Highest capacity in minimal space! COMBIJET is a compact, automated Petri dish filler that requires only minimal bench space in the laboratory. It is characterized by its ability to pour 90mm, 60mm or 35mm diameter dishes. Once the dish filling process has been started, the unit is designed to work reliably in the absence of the operator. The COMBIJET can pour an impressive 900 Petri dishes/hour, utilizing either a 360 plate or 540 plate carousel option. The COMBIJET links directly to the MEDIACLAVE agar preparator, or for larger batches, would work great with any of our larger media preparation systems. The COMBIJET is unique in the fact that it can pour 90mm, 60mm and 35mm dishes! Changing between different dish sizes is fast and easy. It can also pour any depth dish ranging in height from 14-25 mm.
All functions of the COMBIJET can be conveniently controlled over the large graphical user interface. The operation of the system is completely self-explanatory, as all functions are explained in a clear manner, essentially eliminating the use of manual. COMBIJET has a built in “Agar Spread Function” ensuring homogenous distribution and even surface of of the agar. This also helps keep the agar level in each dish to a minimum allowing a significant reduction in media costs. COMBIJET provides all features necessary to support the individual needs in quality control. All process relevant information can be documented using a standard label printer or by directly transferring the information to a computer. When working in connection with MediaClave, this data can also be printed on its embedded label printer.
COMBIJET performs reliably and independently when pouring batches. The well placed sensors ensure the smooth mechanical guidance of the plates throughout the system, constantly sending feedback information to the machines safety mechanisms. Truly making this instrument a walk away system, providing reassurance that variation in dish diameter, size and lid or base rims will not affect this machines performance. The peristaltic pump can be used independently for filling of tubes, bottles or other vessels with calibrated delivery volume.
To allow convenient and efficient cleaning to take place, the surface of the transfer/filling area is manufactured from a single piece of resistant polyethylene (PE). This area is also overshadowed by a UV lamp located over the full length of where the dishes are opened up during the dispensing process. The lamp emits powerful concentrated UV radiation achieving bactericidal efficiency in the area most vulnerable to contamination.
The COMBIJET can be paired with an Imaje inkjet printer to allow traceability throughout the batch. The user can effortlessly label each plate with alphanumeric text, expiry/production dates and even barcodes. Printing occurs on the side of the dish so it will not interfere with even the most basic colony counters.

Plate Cooling The optional Peltier cooling device is built directly into the surface of the filling chamber and accelerates the solidification of the agar medium and helps control condensation.
Tubefiller-Test tube filler option For every lab involved in culture media production, the Tubefiller option is the perfect expansion to the functionality of MediaJet, as it allows conversion of the automated Petri dish pourer into a test tube filler in just minutes. Tubefiller is designed for the continuous processing of racks for test tubes of various diameters and therefore suitable for a wide range of dosing applications. Tubefiller includes filling arm, support plate compatible with racks of 13, 16, 18, 25 or 3 mm (diameter) test tubes and a 3.0 mm silicone tubing set with dispensing and aspiration tube.

-Second Pump MediaJet allows for the control of a second, stand-alone pump unit. This accessory is specifically useful to continuously mix additives like blood into the agar immediately before pouring the plates, which minimizes the thermal denaturation of the additive.
